My chosen phrase is….
“They didn’t know”
The reason I chose this phrase because I find this phrase was frequently used by other people through various situation. There are positive and negative about using the phrase.
The example of using it in positive are cheering up someone when they are feeling doubts about their own talent and beauty because of other people’s judgement.
Another example of the negative way was using phrase as excuse to cover up your mistake of your own action or language.
Ideation 1

I think that these photograph has a similar idea of “They Didn’t Know” even though it’s and awareness about people are starting to be racist to Asian because of Coronavirus. There will be people using the excuse of not saying sorry but they will say “They didn’t know” as an excuse to cover their mistake.
Ideation 2
Moodboard- Boxing
My second idea was using boxing to combine with the phrase “they didn’t know” because this express how boxers’ mind only focus on winning but they didn’t know another ability that they can do was to observe the opponent punches and dodges. The battle is not only about winning or losing but also learn from their mistake or their opponent.
The final decision that I will work later on is the second idea because I think that it expresses more of what I think the phrase “They Didn’t Know”.
Sketches
The sketches will be mainly focusing on the boxers. There are boxer are battling for their dream and fame but they didn’t know or realise that at the end of the battle, it’s not really about winning or losing but what they have learnt from their opponent.
